What I Love About Drake April 2018

Scripture Verse:
This is not scriptures but so true in your case: When you have done something wrong, admit it and be sorry. No one is history has ever chocked to death from swallowing their pride! Unknown

History:
1.      Guns: 5 years ago, on April 13th your older brother, Matthew, let you hold his shotgun for the first time. You were so happy that he let you be a part of the big boy club it was cute. Of course, he stood by at the ready just in case the unloaded gun that you could barely hold miraculously grew bullet and opened fire. It was cute.
2.      Lecrae: One year ago on April 30th you saw Lacrae give a free concert at the Rangers game and fell in love with Christian Rap music. Still not sure how I feel about that one.

Height/Weight:
You are currently 67 lbs., and 56” tall. Your shoe size is 4.5 right now and it keeps growing!

Things You Enjoyed:
1.      Boba Tea: Your sister introduced us to boba tea this month. We went to a place in Plano called Dottea and each tried a new boba tea. It was me, you, Delaney, Matthew and Dawson. We just hung out and spent the day together trying new things and going new places for fun. We all really liked the tea. Its different with little bubbles of something that are really chewy throughout the drink. We then went to a Japanese noodle house, which you did not like at all and neither did Delaney. You guys sat and watched us eat and then went to McDonalds. Guess I was asking a little too much in one day!
2.      Lip Sync Battle: We love watching this together and get a kick out of the songs people do. Our all time favorite though has to be when The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) did Taylors Swift “Shake it Off”. It was hysterical. He came out in a skirt and blonde wig and got really into the song. Made us both laugh so hard.
3.      Von Miller Day- Von Miller is an ex Denver Broncos player that does a kid’s day yearly for the last 2 years. We just found out about this and went out to Desoto to hang and play. It was really great and so many ex-football players from the Dallas area showed up and literally just hung out with the kids. They played basketball with you, soccer, football and just ran around chasing you. You even did a 3 on 3 basketball tournament.
4.      Dawson’s Graduation: This year we watched as Dawson graduated high school from West Mesquite. He has worked so hard for this day and we are all incredibly proud of him. We made sure we arrived very early to get the front row. You got all dressed up and even wore jeans with no issue! You sat and cheered for every single person that went across that stage! Afterwards we all went out to Olive Garden to eat and just enjoy the day.
5.      NFL 2018 Draft: Oh yea! We finally got the draft in Dallas. Of course we had to go. You thought you were going to love watching the actual draft take place. I knew it would be boring but you insisted and so I signed up to win tickets and go them. We watched for about 30 minutes and that was it for you. We did get to see who the Vikings picked, the Packers and Cowboys. What we all really enjoyed were all the free activities they were doing outside the draft. You got to  participate in football drills, enjoy interactive exhibits and autograph sessions, and take pictures with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Your Most Important Goal Right Now:
For some reason its learning how to score keep at the Rangers games. You have become obsessed with having us get a new book every day we go to the games so you can write the line up in them and keep score. Its actually really cute because you are super serious about it and get really mad when people say the play was different than how you called it. I give you dedication though. You are really learning positions, players, calls, and you keep your head in the game the whole time. Plus you get very mad at uncle Shane if we are late and you miss the daily lineup of players! Its really cute.

Struggles and Accomplishments:
You are still so thin that It’s hard to get pants that fit you. Lol They either fit you in the waist but not the legs or vice versa. So you normally still wear sweat pants or shorts because they are the only thing that fits you right both ways. The problem with that is you are so use to the comfort that when you must wear jeans you throw this big fit because you hate the way they feel on your waist, knees and ankles. The struggle is real! Then we still have the ongoing sock issue. Yes, this is a fight we have had almost daily since you were 2 years old. You hate wearing socks. You hate the way they feel in the toes mainly, but also around your heal. The part that bothers you is on the toes were the sock has been sown  together. You want a  smooth, seamless toe and frankly those don’t exist. Then if I buy stocks that are just a little bit bigger the heal does not fit exactly right and you won’t wear them because of this. So every morning we go through this melt down over socks!!! I put them on and off and on and off and then your shoes, then back off and on, then your shoes and on and on it goes till by some miracle of miracles we finally manage to get them on just right that they can stay! We can easily spent 20-30 minutes EVERY SINGLE DAY doing just this. It’s the most stressful part of my morning you and those socks. I finally reached a point I stopped caring and just let you wear your shoes. Problem with this is then your shoes smell like 10 day old garbage that fills up every room you are in and people complain. There is no win here for either of us. So we got smelly shoes and tons of socks that are just waiting to cause an early morning melt down. And please don’t get me started on the sandal issue. It’s just too much. No chonklas for you. One day I can hopefully laugh at all this, but today has not been that day. Who knew socks would be my enemy that brings me to tears.
